Ingredients
3 Cups Bread Flour. (Important! Must be sifted)
3 Teaspoons Baking Powder
1 Teaspoon of Salt
1/4 Cup of Sugar
1 Can of Beer (12 oz)
1/2 Cup of Butter
Preparation
Heat oven to 375
Mix flour, baking powder, salt, sugar and beer into a bowl.
Pour into a nonstick or greased loaf pan.
Melt butter and pour over the mix.
Bake for 1 hour.
*Alternate: Substitute self rising flour and omit baking powder and salt.
*Notes: If you don’t have a sifter use a spoon to spoon flour into a measuring cup. If you want to cut down on fat, use 1/4 cup of butter. You can also mix butter into mixture if you want the crust less crunchy.
