Ingredients

CRUST:

1 c. butter

1 c. sugar

1/4 c. brown sugar

1 egg

1 tsp. vanilla

2 c. flour

1/2 tsp. salt

1/2 tsp. soda

FILLING:

3/4 lb. almond paste

3 eggs

1 c. sugar

Preparation

Combine crust ingredients and pat 1/2 of mixture in a 9 x 13 pan. Mix filling well and spread over first layer. Cover with remaining dough. Bake 40 minutes at 325 degrees. When cool, sprinkle with powdered sugar or glaze (powdered sugar, milk and almond flavoring).
