Two Pilsbury pie crusts

8-9 medium apples

1/2 cup butter

1/3 cup granulated sugar

1/3 cup packed brown sugar

5 ml. Vanilla

5 cc. Cinnamon

45 cc. White flour

Juice of one lemon

Preparation

Thin slice apples into bowl and squeeze juice of lemon over the apples. Place butter and sugars in sauce pan and melt over medium/low heat. When melted add the vanilla, cinnamon, and flour. Bring to boil and let simmer on low heat while oven heats to 450 F. Roll pastry into a 9" pie plate and bake for 5 minutes in the heating oven after forking the dough. Cut the 2nd pastry in strips for a lattice top. Pour the apples into the baked shell and make a lattice cover. Ensue the apples are heaped in the centre. Pour the sauce mixture evenly over the lattice being careful not to go too near the edges. Bake on a stone for 15 min. Reduce heat to 350 and bake for 35-40 minutes. Cool on a rack
