Ingredients
1 1/2 lbs fresh asparagus
2 Tblsp soy sauce
1 1/2 tsp sugar
1 tblsp dark sesame oil
1 Tblsp white or rice vinegar
1 Tblsp rice wine, mirin or dry sherry
1/2 tsp grated ginger
1/2 tsp chili paste
sesame seeds
Preparation
put asparagus into boiling water, wait until returns to boil, cook 2 minutes. shock with cold water
Mix other ingredients for marinade. Cover asparagus for at least 30 minutes but no more than 2 hours with marinade. Garnish with sesame seeds.
Can also put marinade over hot asparagus and serve immediately
