Ingredients
1 shallot, minced
1 1/2 teaspoons canola oil
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
1 1/2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon molasses
1 1/2 tablespoons soy sauce
6 ounces tomato sauce
Preparation
Saute the shallot in oil until golden. Add all other sauce ingredients and simmer 10 minutes. Oil a shallow baking pan and pour some sauce into the bottom of the pan to lightly coat base. Lay the tofu in the pan in a single layer. Pour remaining sauce over the tofu. Marinate 30 minutes or refrigerate overnight. Bake the tofu in a 350 oven for 45-60 minutes. Turn the tofu every 20 minutes and cook until the sauce dries on the tofu.
