Ingredients

1 1/2 lbs cubed beef

3 T oil

s & p

2 t garlic powder

3 cans beef broth

6 C water

4 stalks celery, chopped

6 carrots, chopped

1 C. onion, chopped

1/2 C. chopped parsley

1 C. barley 2 T bouillon

1 can tom sauce or paste

Preparation

sauté meat, salt, pepper and oil until brown. Put in crock with everything except barley. Cook on high 3 hours then add barley and cook on low until done.
