Ingredients

1 3/4 cups flour

2 cups sugar

3/4 cup cocoa

2 teaspoons baking soda

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons cinnamon

2 each eggs

1 cup strong coffee (4 heaping teaspoons of instant coffee or espresso)

1 cup buttermik or sour milk (add 1 T. vinegar to milk; let sit a few minues)

1/2 cup vegetable oil

1 teaspoon vanilla

Preparation

  1. Grease and flour pan(s). Preheat oven to 350*F.

  2. Make coffee; let cool. Make sour milk, if necessary.

  3. Combine all ingredients; beat 2 minutes. Batter will be thin. Pour into prepared pan(s).

  4. Bake 35-40 minutes for oblong pan. Bake 30-35 minutes for 2 round pans.

  5. Serve unfrosted with vanilla ice cream or frost with cream cheese frosting.
