Ingredients

3-4 c. blueberries (5 c. or 6 c.)

DOUGH:

3/4 c. sugar (1 1/4 c. or 1 1/2)

1/4 c. vegetable shortening(1/3 c. or 1/2 c.

1 large egg (1 jumbo or 2 large)

2 c. flour (3 c. or 4 c.)

1/2 c. whole milk (3/4 c. or 1 c.)

2 tsp. baking powder 3 tsp. or 4 tsp.)

1/2 tsp. salt (3/4 tsp. or 1 tsp.)

TOPPING:

1/4 c. sugar (1/3 c. or 1/2 c.)

1/4 c. brown sugar (1/3 c. or 1/2 c.)

1/3 c. flour (1/2 c. or 2/3 c.)

1/2 tsp. cinnamon (3/4 tsp. or 1 tsp.)

1/4 c. butter (1/3 c. or 1/2 c.)

Preparation

Preheat oven to 375’F. Make Crumbs: Put dry ingredients in medium bowl, cut butter in. Make Dough: Put blueberries in greased baking dish. Mix shortening, sugar, and egg. Stir in milk. Stir in dry ingredients. Spread dough evenly over berries, make sure to get al the way to the baking dish all around. Sprinkle crumbs evenly on top. Bake 35-40 minutes (1 hour plus for larger dish).
