Ingredients

1 cup butter softened

2 cups sugar

4 eggs

1 tsp vanilla extract

2 cups flour

1/2 tsp salt

1 tsp baking powder

1 pint fresh blueberries or 2 cups frozen, thawed

Preparation

Preheat oven to 325. Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs one at a time and beat until light and fluffy. Add vanilla. Sift flour, salt and baking powder together. Add sifted ingredients to creamed mixture and beat. Add berries into batter. Grease and dust a tube pan with confectioner’s sugar or flour. Pour batter into greased pan. Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until it tests done with a knife.
