Ingredients

1 loaf stale French bread, crumbled

2 tsp vanilla

1 cup raisins

4 cups milk

1 cup coconut

2 cups sugar

1 cup chopped pecans

8 tbsp butter, melted

1 tsp cinnamon

3 eggs

1 tsp nutmeg

Whiskey Sauce:

1 stick butter

1 1/2 cups powdered sugar

2 egg yolks

1/2 cup Bourbon

Preparation

Combine all ingredients. Should be moist but not soupy. Pour into 9"x12" or larger baking dish Put in non-preheated oven and bake at 350 for an hour and 15 mins. Serve warm.

Whiskey sauce: Cream butter and sugar over medium heat until butter is absorbed. Remove from heat and incorporate egg yolk. Add Bourbon slowly, to taste.
