Ingredients

1 ½ lbs broccoli

½ red onion, thinly sliced (about 1 C)

½ C golden raisins

2 T red wine vinegar

2 t yellow mustard

½ C canola oil

1T sugar

Salt & ground black pepper, to taste,

½ C pecans, toasted & chopped

Preparation

If necessary, trim ends off the broccoli, use a vegetable peeler to peel the skin off the stalk. Slice the broccoli into thin slices & small florets. (There should be about 1 lb after trimming.)

Place the broccoli in a large bowl and add sliced onions & raisins. Set aside.

Combine vinegar, mustard, oil, sugar, salt, and pepper in a separate bowl. Add to the broccoli mixture & toss to combine. Cover & refrigerate at least 1 hour or overnight for the flavors to blend.

When ready to serve, toss again & garnish with pecans.
