Ingredients

2 1/4 cups white flour

1/2 teas salt

2 teas cinnamon

1/4 teas ginger

1 cup brown sugar

3/4 cup white sugar

3/4 cup corn oil

1 cup chopped pecans

1 tsp baking soda

1 tsp baking powder

1 egg beaten

1 cup butter milk

Preparation

Mix together in a large bowl the flour, sale, 1 tsp cinnamon, finer, both sugars and corn oil.

Remove 3/4 of the mixture and to it add the nuts and remaining teaspoon of cinnamon. Mix well and set aside.

To the remaining batter, add the baking soda, baking powder, egg and buttermilk.

Pour into well greased pan, sprinkle the nut topping evenly on top and bake at 350 for 40-45 minutes
