Ingredients
1 cup white flour
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ginger
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
¼ teaspoon ground allspice
¼ teaspoon ground cloves
2 cups rolled oats (not instant)
½ cup milk
¼ cup canola oil
½ cup light brown sugar
¼ cup white sugar
2 egg whites
¼ cup molasses
½ teaspoon vanilla
Preparation
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- In a medium bowl combine the flours, soda, salt, ginger, cinnamon, allspice, cloves, and oats.
- In a large mixing bowl, mix together the milk, oil, sugars, eggs, molasses, and vanilla. Beat well.
- Gradually add flour mixture to large bowl and combine thoroughly.
- Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheet.
- Bake for 15 minutes.
