Ingredients

1 cup white flour

1 cup whole wheat flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

½ teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon ginger

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

¼ teaspoon ground allspice

¼ teaspoon ground cloves

2 cups rolled oats (not instant)

½ cup milk

¼ cup canola oil

½ cup light brown sugar

¼ cup white sugar

2 egg whites

¼ cup molasses

½ teaspoon vanilla

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 350°.
  2. In a medium bowl combine the flours, soda, salt, ginger, cinnamon, allspice, cloves, and oats.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, mix together the milk, oil, sugars, eggs, molasses, and vanilla. Beat well.
  4. Gradually add flour mixture to large bowl and combine thoroughly.
  5. Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 15 minutes.
