Ingredients
1 cupt (2 sticks) margerine or butter softened
1 1/4 cups firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
2 Tb. mild
1 3/4 cups flour (use a bit more so the cookies don’t come out flat
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
2 1/2 cups Quaker oats uncooked
1 12 oz package chocolate chips semi sweet
Preparation
- Heat oven to 350
- Beat margarine and sugars until creamy
- Add eggs, milk and vanilla and combine
- Add combined flour, baking soda and salt, mix well 4a. Stir in oats, choc chips (by hand)
- Drop by rounded Tablespoons on ungreased cookie sheet (I use parchment paper - easier clean up)
- Bake 9-10 mins (check after 8 mins) 7.Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet, transfer to wire rack
- Cool completely.
- Store in sealed container, add a 1/2 piece of bread to keep them soft. For cookie bars, heat oven to 375. Press dough evenly onto bottom of ungreased 13.9 baking pan. Bake 35-40 mins or till light brown. Cool Completely. Cut into bars. Store in sealed container.
