Ingredients
Cake:
4 ounces semi sweet chocolate
6 tablespoons butter
3 tablespoons flour
3 eggs
4 tablespoons sugar
Icing:
4 ounces German sweet chocolate
3 tablespoons water
3 tablespoons butter
Preparation
Cake:
- Melt chocolate and butter, stir until smooth.
- Separate the eggs into yolks and whites.
- In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites stiff, then gradually beat in the sugar.
- Mix the flour and egg yolks into the chocolate.
- Fold the chocolate into the egg whites, blending thoroughly.
- Pour into a greased and floured pan.
- Bake at 350 for about 20 minutes, or until tester comes out clean.
- Cool in pan for 10 minutes.
- Finish cooling upside down.
Icing:
- Melt chocolate and water, stirring until smooth.
- Add butter.
- Cool to thicken.
- Pour over cooled cake.
