Ingredients

4 slices bacon, crisp (optional or can be substituted with sausage, mushrooms, etc.)

2 cups plain croutons

1 cup grated cheddar cheese (I like to add extra)

4 eggs, slightly beaten

1 tsp. salt

Dash of pepper

2 cups milk

1/2 tsp. onion salt (onion flakes or grated onions can be substituted to taste)

1/2 tsp. prepared yellow mustard

Preparation

Place croutons in 10 x 6 pan and sprinkle with 1 cup grated cheese. Beat together eggs and spices and pour over croutons and cheese. Sprinkle with crumbled bacon.

Bake at 325°F for 55 minutes
