Ingredients

2.5 # ground pork

1.5 c. water

1 c. finely chopped onion

.5 c. finely chopped celery

1 T. pepper

2 bay leaves

1 t. savory or sage

.5 t. rosemary ( use small branch )

.5 t. nutmeg

.5 t. cinnamon

salt

.5 c. large flake oats

Preparation

Pork, water, onion, celery in pot, bring to boil. Add herbs etc, cover & cook 1.5 hours med-low. Add salt halfway through. Add oats at end, cook 1-2 minutes. Let cool. Roll out pastry, add filling, cover with pastry, glaze. Bake 425’ for 15 min. Lower heat to 375’, bake further 25 min. Freeze 2nd pie.
