Ingredients
10 Tablespoons butter
1 1/4 cup white sugar
3/4 cup cocoa
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cold eggs
1/2 cup flour
2/3 cup chopped nuts
Preparation
- Grease and line 8" x 8" pan
- Combine better, sugar, cocoa and salt in double boiler over simmer. Stir from time to time until mixture is smooth. Cool to warm.
- Stir in vanilla with wooden spoon. Add eggs one by one, stirring vigorously. When batter looks thick and shiny, add flour and stir until it disappears, then stir vigorously 40 strokes. Stir in nuts.
- Bake 20-25 minutes til toothpick comes out slightly moist.
- Cool completely
