Ingredients
2 cups masa harina, preferably Bob’s Red Mill
1 1/2 cup water
Preparation
In a lg bowl mix m.h. with water and stir ntil moist. On a sheet of plastic wrap, roll the dough into an 8 inch log and cut the log into 16 pieces. Roll each piece into a ball and transfer to a large plate and cover loosely with plastic wrap. Heat a griddle until very hot. Line a basket or a wide shallow bowl with a clean towel. Cut a sturdy resealable plastic bag at the seam. Set 1 ball of dough between the sheets of plastic and roll out into a 5 inch tortilla. Set on a hot griddle and cook for 1 min. or until till brown spots appear. Flip and cook 30 seconds longer. Wrap in a towel to keep warm.
