Ingredients
3 lbs cucumbers
1/3 cup salt
2 cups boiling water
Sauce:
1 cup water
1/4 cup rice vinegar
3 Tbsp sugar
1 tsp chopped garlic
1/2 tsp ajinomoto
1 tsp chili pepper
Preparation
Slice cucumbers, sprinkle with salt, mix and pour boiling water over it. Let stand 30 - 45 minutes and drain.
Add sauce to cucumbers. Pack into jars and keep in refrigerator for a day before eating. Tastes best first week.
