Ingredients
1 1/2 lb. ground beef
2 TBS. olive oil
1 med. oniion chopped
1 TBS. ground cumin
1 TBS chile pwdr
2 tsp dried oregano
1 15 oz. can black beans, undrained
1 15 oz pinto beans, undrained
1 28 oz crushed tomatoes w/ their juice
1 tsp salt
freshly ground pepper
Preparation
In heavy pot, heat oil over med low heat. Add onions, cook 5 mins. Add garlic and cook until soft Add beef and break up. Increase heat to med high and add spices. Cook, stirring frequently until meat is brown (7 mins.) Add beans and tomatoes with their liquids and bring to boil. Reduce heat to low, cover pot, and simmer, stirring occasionaly until thinck, about 45 minutes. Season to taste.
