Ingredients

3/4 cup butter/soft shortening (1 1/2 stiicks)

1 cup of sugar

2 eggs

1/2 tsp vanilla

2 1/2 cups of flour

1 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp salt

frosting (for 24 cookies about half the recipe)

1 cup of confectioner’s sugar

1/8 tsp salt

1/2 tsp vanilla

1 3/4 tbs milk/cream or water

Preparation

cookiies cream shortening and sugar beat in eggs add vanilla mix in dry ingredients chill dough for an hour roll out dough to 1/8 inch on floured surface, four rolling pin cut out shapes ungreased cookie sheet

bake at 400 for 6-8 minutes (they burn easily, never more than 8)
