Ingredients

1C Bread Crumbs

2C Flour

2C brown Sugar

1t Cinnamon

1t Nutmeg

1t Allspice

1/2t Cloves

1/4t Ginger

1/4lb Citron

1C Suet (or butter)

1C Raisins

1C Currants

1/2t salt

1/2C Molasses

1/2t Baking Soda

3 Eggs (beaten)

1 Lemon (juice)

Preparation

Mix all dry ingredients. Dissolve soda in 2T hot water and add to molasses. Cream butter, sugar, molasses, lemon and eggs. Add dry ingredients. Add raisins. Put in steamer mold and steam for 31/2 to 4 hours.

Serve with Hard Sauce.
