Ingredients

2 Cups white sugar

1 lb butter

3 eggs

7 1/2 cups flour

7 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

1 1/2 teaspoons salt

3/4 cup milk

3 tablespoons maple syrup (optional)

Frosting:

3 cups confectioner sugar

1 1/2 tsp vanilla

1-2 T milk

1 stick butter softened

Preparation

Beat sugar and butter together. Add eggs, vanilla, and milk. Sift together flour, baking soda, and salt. Add dry ingredients to sugar mixture gradually beating after each cup.

Make a ball and refrigerate for 24 hrs covering with a wet cloth. Roll out on floured surface to make cut out cookies. Bake at 350 degrees for 9-10 minutes.
