Ingredients

2 1/2 cups flour

1 teas. baking soda

1/4 teas. salt

1 teas. cream of tartar

1 cup butter

1/2 teas. vanilla

1/2 tea. lemon

2 cups sugar

3 egg yolks

Preparation

Sift first four ingredients together Cream butter and extracts until butter is soft Add sugar gradually, creaming until fluffy after each addition. Add egg yolks, one at a time, beating after each addition. Add dry ingredients in fourths to creamed mixture, beating after each addition. Form into balls about 1 inch apart on the baking pan. Bake at 350 for 10 minutes until cookies are golden
