Ingredients
1 t salt
1 lb green beans, ends off
1 slice bread, no crust, 1 1/2 inch pieces
2 T sliced almonds, crumbled into 1/4 in. pieces
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 t parsley, chopped
4 T butter
Preparation
- Boil then blanch green beans.
- Process bread in food processor until fine.
- Transfer crumbs to pan, add almonds and brown. Off heat add parsley and garlic to hot crumbs and toss. Transfer to bowl.
- Melt butter in same skillet until browned and then toss with crumbs and almonds.
- Top beans with crumb mixture.
