Ingredients
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 Cup butter
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 Cup firmly packed light brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 eggs
2 cups rolled oats
12 ounce package semi-sweet chocolate chips
walnuts (optional)
Preparation
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Combine flour, salt, baking soda. Beat together butter sugars and vanilla until creamy. Add eggs, beating until fluffy. Gradually beat in flour mixture ad rolled oats. Stir in chips (and walnuts). Drop teaspoonfuls of batter onto cookie sheets lined w silipat or parchment paper. Bake 8-10 minutes. Better slightly undercooked. Cool cookies on sheets for two minutes before placing them on wire rack for further cooling.
