Ingredients
2 12-oz pkgs split peas, rinsed & soaked overnight
1 medium onion, chopped
5 carrots, sliced
2 qts water (keep adding)
Cauliflower, chopped
Potatoes, peeled & diced
Chunk of black forest ham
Salt & pepper to taste
Chipotle pepper to taste
Preparation
- Soak peas overnight in large kettle.
- Add all other ingredients and cook, uncovered, for several hours or until potatoes are tender and peas have turned to mush.
