Ingredients
3 T cumin seeds divided
1 T oil
1/2 t black peppercorn
4 green cardamom pods
2 fresh green chillies finely chopped
2 garlic cloves finely chopped
1 inch ginger grated
1 t ground coriander
2 t ground cumin
1/2 t salt
8 chicken pieces
1 t garam masala
Fresh cilantro
Chilli powder
Serve w cucumber raita
Preparation
Dry roast 1 T cumin seeds, set aside
Hear oil in skillet. Fry remaining CUMIN SEEDS, BLACK PEPPERCORNS, and CARDAMOM for 2-3 min.
Add CHILLIES, GARLIC, and, GINGER and fry for 2 min
Add GROUND CORRIANDER, GROUND CUMIN and SALT. Stir well, cook 2 min.
Add CHICKEN and cook 20-25 min.
Add GARAM MASALA and reserved toasted CUMIN SEEDS and cook another 5 min. Garnish w fresh cilantro and chili powder.
