Ingredients
2-1/2 cups butter, softened
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1/4 cup milk
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
8 cups all-purpose flour
4 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
jelly/jam of your choice
2 tablespoons sugar
Preparation
Preheat oven to 325*F In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar Add the eggs, milk and vanilla; mix well Combine the flour, baking powder and salt Add to creamed mixture, beating until just combined Roll the dough into 1 inch diameter balls Place on greased cookie sheet Press your thumb into the middles to make indents Fill the thumbprints with jelly/jam Sprinkle the remaining sugar over the jelly/jam Bake for 8-10 min.
