Ingredients

1/2 lb. golden crisco

1/2 lb. salted butter

4 1/2 to 5 c. all-purpose flour

1 tsp. baking powder

3 tsp. brown sugar (opt.)

Preparation

Cut shortening/butter into dry ingredients or use food processor on pulse.

Beat 1 egg plus 2 tbsp. vinegar in 1-cup measure.

Add water to make 1 cup.

Add to dry ingredients and mix until holds together.

Let set for few minutes before rolling or freeze in discs. Scraps refreeze well.
