Ingredients
2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
2 tablespoons cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 stick margarine
1/2 cup oil
1/4 cup cocoa
1 cup water
2 each eggs
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 stick margarine
4 tablespoons cocoa
6 tablespoons milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 package confectioner’s sugar
1 cup walnuts – chopped
Preparation
Grease and flour jelly roll pan. Preheat oven to 400*F.
Mix together flour, sugar, cinnamon, and salt in large mixing bowl.
In saucepan, bring to a boil 1 stick margarine, oil, 1/4 cup cocoa and water. Pour over flour mixture.
Add eggs, buttermilk, vanilla, and baking soda. Beat well.
Pour into prepared pan and bake at 400*F for 20 minutes.
In saucepan, bring to a boil 1 stick margarine, 4 Tbsp cocoa, milk, and vanilla. Pour over confectioner’s sugar and nuts. Mix well and pour over hot cake and spread.
