Ingredients
2 cups of Basmati rice
1/2 cup of milk
1 ts salt
6 cups of water
3/4 cup of ground almonds or pistachios
3/4 cup of chopped dates or raisins
1/4 cup grated orange peel
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 ts cinnamon

Preparation
Soak Rice in cheese cloth in water overnight. Drain, cover rice with water and boil until tender. Drain and rince with cold water and drain again. Grease dry pot, pour in milk. Mix remaining ingredients. Spread 1/3 rice in pot, sprinkle with 1/2 of nut and raisin mixture. Spread another 1/3 rice, then rest of nut and raisin mixture. Then top with remaining rice. Pour butter and water overall. Cover and cook low, 325 degrees in oven for one hour
