Ingredients

4 large potatoes

8 oz ground beef

8 oz ground pork

1 egg

1 medium onion, chopped

1 cup panko

1/3 cup flour

1/4 cup water

3 cups cabbage, shredded

Kewpie mayonnaise, salt, and pepper, to taste

Oil for frying

Preparation

Boil potatoes until tender. Drain, mash, and refrigerate until ready to use.

Combine beef & pork and fry over medium heat. Add onion, salt, and pepper, and fry until onion is translucent. Drain meat & allow to cool.

Combine beef & pork mixture with mashed potatoes.

Combine water & egg in large bowl. Slowly beat in flour until thoroughly dissolved. Prepare panko on separate plate.

When beef, pork, and potato mixture is cool enough to handle, form into 4-6 patties, each about the size of your palm.

Dip each patty into egg mixture & then into panko.

Heat oil to medium-high and fry patties until brown & crispy on both sides.

Serve on bed of cabbage & top with mayo.
