Ingredients

2 qts 2% Milk

2 TBSP Salt

1/4 tsp pepper

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1-16oz jar Cheese Whiz

1 - 8oz bottle beer (better beer is better soup!)

Roux - 1c butter & 1/2 c flour

Popcorn for garnish

Preparation

Warm milk to simmer - do not allow to boil. Add: salt, pepper, & garlic powder. Add roux until soup is desired thickness. Whip until smooth using wire whisk. Meanwhile place jar of cheese in pan of hot water to warm. Stir until cheese is thin enough to pour. Add cheese to milk mixture, whisk thoroughly. Stir in beer slowly. Keep warm over low heat. Garnish bowls of soup with popcorn.
