Ingredients
10 lbs of Russet potatos
Whole Milk
Butter
Salt and Pepper
Preparation
Grandpa didn’t measure anything so here it goes. Peel and slice all the potatos. Cook until fork tender. Drain them and put them back on the heat briefly to get rid of some extra moisture.
Off the heat add one stick of butter and a cup of milk and start mixing with beaters. Add more milk as needed for moisture. Add more salt, pepper and butter to taste.
Other variations by Christa:
- Use yukon golds(no need to peel)
- Before adding the butter melt it with fresh chopped garlic and add chedder cheese
- Add sour cream and green onions
