Ingredients
2 cups of flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 cup sugar ( I cut it down)
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1/4 cup wheat germ
1/4 cup sesame seeds
2 tbsp. poppy seeds
1 egg, beaten
1 cup buttermilk
1/4 cup oil
Preparation
Combine the first 9 ingredients in a mixing bowl. Stir well to blend. Beat egg, buttermilk and oil and add to dry ingredients. Stir till moistened. Pour batter into greased 9 x 5 loaf pan. Bake at 350 for 50-60 minutes or till toothpick comes out clean.
Cool in pan for 10 minutes and then turn out to cool.
