Ingredients
2 cups saltines, crushed
2 sticks butter
2 lbs onions, sliced
7 eggs
2 1/2 cups milk
2 1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Preparation
Melt 1 stick of butter and combine with saltines. With a fork, press evenly into bottom of 9x13 pan. Saute onions with other stick of butter until transparent. Spread over crust. Beat eggs with milk, salt and pepper. Pour over onions.
Sprinkle cheese on top. Bade 325 degree oven for 45 minutes.
