Ingredients
2 large Hoagie rolls
1/2 beef steak sliced wafer thin (leftover tenderloin)
1 white onion sliced thin
1 green bell pepper sliced thin
2 tsp garlic, minced
1/2 lb provolone cheese sliced thin
extra virgin olive oil
salt and pepper
Preparation
Heat griddle over med high heat. Coat with olive oil. Add onions and pepper and cook, stirring until carmelized (about 6 to 8 min). Add garlic and salt & pepper and cook 30 sec. Push to one side of griddle and add meat to hot part of griddle. Cook continuously flipping meat over until meat is not pink. Mix the meat with onion/pepper mix. Divide into 2 portions and top each portion with cheese. Separate top and bottom of bread and hollow out top part from inside and place face down on top of cheese/meat mixture. When cheese is melted use 2 spatulas and flip sandwich over and top with bottom bread. Can top with ketchup or marinara sauce.
