Ingredients

2 eggs

1 tsp vanilla

1 cup sugar

1 cup flour

1 tsp baking powder

1/4 tsp salt

1/2 cup milk

1 Tbs butter

Frosting:

1/4 cup butter, softened

1/2 cup brown sugar

2 Tbs milk

1 cup shredded coconut and/or nuts

Preparation

Beat eggs and vanilla until thick. Beat in sugar gradually. Stir together flour, baking powder, and salt, and add to wet ingredients.

Heat milk and butter until butter melts. Add to cake mixture. Pour into greased 8x8 pan and bake at 375 for 25-30 minutes.

Frosting – Cream butter and brown sugar. Add 2 Tbs. milk and mix well. Stir in coconut and/or nuts. Spread over warm cake, then return cake to oven and broil 4-5 inches from heat for about 3 minutes (until bubbling).
