Ingredients
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup butter, softened
2 eggs
1 cup Buttermilk
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/3 cup flour
1 cup whole wheat flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda and cinnamon
1/4 tsp salt.
3 cups chopped rhubarb
Topping
1/2 cup sliced almonds
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon
Preparation
In a small bowl combine the three ingredients for the topping. In large bowl beat sugar wit butter until fluffy and beat in egss one at a time. Beat well after each and then add buttermilk and vanilla. Stir together all purpose flour, whole wheat flour the bp and the bs and the cinnamon and salt. Stir into butter mixture till blended.
sread in greased 13 x9 inch cake pan. Sprinkle rhubarb over batter and sprinkel with topping.
