Ingredients
1/4 cup olive oil
1/2 stick butter
1 finely chopped onion
3/4 can beer
3 tsp minced garlic
3 tsp crushed red pepper (wet - comes in a jar)
1 tsp parsley
7-10 drops tabasco sauce (or hot sauce)
2 packets azafran ( found in ethnic aisle)
salt & pepper
24 medium shrimp
Preparation
In small bowl mix garlic, parsley, salt & pepper, tabasco sauce, red pepper, azafran - set aside.
In large frying pan w/ cover, heat oil and butter.
Add onion - cook 5 minutes on medium heat.
Add beer and garlic mixture, cover and cook for 3 minutes.
Add shrimp, cover and cook shrimp 3 minutes on each side (add more hot stuff if desired)
Serve over yellow rice.
Note: I use extra large shrimp. Can be made with chicken - very good.
