Ingredients

3 sticks salted butter

3 cups sugar

4 eggs

3 cup flour

2 tsp. almond flavoring

slivered almonds

Sugar for sprinkling

Preparation

Melt butter - add to sugar in mixing bowl. Beat in eggs. Add flour, salt and flavoring. Mix well. Pour batter into large iron skillet which has been lined with foil. (Or pour into buttered skillet.) Cover top with slivered almonds and sprinkle with sugar. Bake 35 - 45 minutes in a 350 degree oven.

Cut into small pieces and serve. This is a very rich cake.
