Ingredients

2 lb 85% ground beef

1 lp ground pork

1.5 tsp gelatin

2.25 cups panko

1.5 cups buttermilk

3 eggs

6 oz finely chopped prosciutto

3 oz parm cheese

6 tbsp parsley

3 cloves garlic

salt and pepper

basil

3 tbsp olive oil

1-2 onions

6 cloves garlic

oregano, red pepper flakes

3 x 28 oz cans crushed tomatoes

6 cups tomato juice

Preparation

meatballs

  1. mix ingredients
  2. form 1/4 cup meatballs
  3. spray baking rack with Pam, place on baking sheet
  4. put meatballs in 450 oven for 30 minutes

sauce

  1. sauté onions in olive oil 6-8 minutes
  2. add garlic, pepper flakes, oregano
  3. add tomato sauce and juice, salt and pepper
  4. bring to simmer, reduce slightly
  5. when meatballs are done, reduce oven to 300
  6. add meatballs, cover pot, cook for one hour
  7. add chopped basil
