Ingredients
2 lb 85% ground beef
1 lp ground pork
1.5 tsp gelatin
2.25 cups panko
1.5 cups buttermilk
3 eggs
6 oz finely chopped prosciutto
3 oz parm cheese
6 tbsp parsley
3 cloves garlic
salt and pepper
basil
3 tbsp olive oil
1-2 onions
6 cloves garlic
oregano, red pepper flakes
3 x 28 oz cans crushed tomatoes
6 cups tomato juice
Preparation
meatballs
- mix ingredients
- form 1/4 cup meatballs
- spray baking rack with Pam, place on baking sheet
- put meatballs in 450 oven for 30 minutes
sauce
- sauté onions in olive oil 6-8 minutes
- add garlic, pepper flakes, oregano
- add tomato sauce and juice, salt and pepper
- bring to simmer, reduce slightly
- when meatballs are done, reduce oven to 300
- add meatballs, cover pot, cook for one hour
- add chopped basil
