Ingredients
You can use regular instad of sparkling Shiraz. For a non-alcoholic version of this, use soda water instead of sparkling wine and frozen orange juice concentrate instead of orange liqueur.
1/2 cup orange liqueur
1/4 cup granulated sugar
3 cups pomegranate juice
1 orange, cut in wedges and sliced
1/2 cup pomegranate seeds, optional
3 cups (750ml) sparkling Shiraz or sparkling dry white wine
2 cups ice cubes
Preparation
- In a large pitcher, combine orange liqueur and sugar. Stir until sugar dissolves.
- Add pomegranate juice, orange slices and pomegranate seeds, if using. Stir well. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
- Stir in sparkling wine just before serving. Add ice cubes to glasses and pour sangria over top.
