Ingredients

2.5 cups water

1/4 cup chopped fresh ginger (not necessary to peel)

3 whole cardamom seeds

2 whole cinnamon sticks

4 tea bags or 4 tsp loose black tea

2 cups milk

1/4 cup sugar

Preparation

In a large covered pot, bring water, ginger, cardamom, cinnamon, and tea to a boil. Uncover and let simmer for 10-15 min. Add milk and sugar and return to a boil. Let simmer for 5 min. Strain and serve.
