Ingredients
1/4 C butter
1/2 C packed brown sugar
1/4 C water
1 tsp salt
2 tsp Chinese 5-spice powder
1/2 tsp ground cumin
1/2 tsp ground black pepper
4 C pecan halves
Preparation
- Preheat ovent to 350F. Butter 2 large baking sheets.
- Melt 1/4 C butter in large skillet over medium heat. Add brown sugar, 1/4 C water, salt and spices; stir til sugar dissolves.
- Add nuts to sugar mixture and cook til syrup thickly coats nuts, stirring often, about 5 mins.
- Transfer nuts to baking sheets. Bake til golden, about 10 mins. Cool.
