Ingredients
2/3 Cup rice
1-1/3 C. Water
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 # shrimp, peeled and cleaned
1/4 tsp. cayenne
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1/4 tsp. red pepper flakes
1/2 tsp. thyme
1/2 tsp. oregano
1/2 tsp. basil
2 Tbl. Butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp.worchestershire
1 lg. tomato, seeded and diced
1/4 C. Beer
Preparation
Bring water, rice and salt to a boil. Cover, reduce heat to low and cook for 18 minutes. Remove from heat and let sit, covered for 5 minutes.
In a small bowl, mix together dry spices. Melt butter in a medium sauté pan over medium high heat. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds. Add spicies and worchestershire, cook until fragrant. Add shrimp and tomatoes. Stir and cook for 2 minutes. Add beer, cover and cook 1 minute more. Serve with rice.
