Ingredients

1 large onion

1/2 small cabbage head: 10 oz piece cored &

sliced

2 med carrots, cut in 1/2" slices

10 oz Kielbasa

1 can (28oz) whole tomatoes, pureed c liquid

1/3 cu lt brown sugar

1/2 t allspice

1/2 t paprika

salt & pepper

Preparation

Combine ingredients in 3 qt non-aluminum pot. Bring to boil. Simmer, covered, until carrots and cabbage are tender, about 20 min. Adjust seasoning. Soup can be made 2 days ahead and refrigerated or frozen up to 3 months. Reheat gently.
