Ingredients

one medium onion

6 to 12 tomatoes

1/4 to 1/2 unsalted butter

cracked pepper 1 teaspoons

salt 1/2 teaspoon

fresh rosemary 1 teaspoons

fresh basil 3 to 4 large leaves

brown sugar 1 teaspoon (optional)

Preparation

sauté onion until translucent then add tomatoes quarter tomatoes and add butter,pepper,salt and rosemary let simmer for 10 to 12 minutes. mash or puree with hand held blender. add basil at end ant let simmer for 2 minutes and serve.
